St. Finnan's Church by farmreporter

St. Finnan's Church

My challenge was to take a picture of a building in my local town and write a short description of it. Alexandria, Ontario is the closest town of any significance to my farm.
St. Finnan is considered the leading missionary of the Celtic Church. While he was born in Ireland in the sixth century, he evangelized in Scotland. It is said that Glengarry County is a little Scotland, more Scottish than Scotland itself. It is no wonder that the fathers of this Diocese would name their cathedral after St. Finnan.
Father Alexander Macdonell initiated the rebuilding of the original parish church, which was completed in 1883 and nearly debt free by 1890; a true testament to Scottish frugality and faithfulness.
Picture is completely unedited, as all my photos are ... as taken in camera. (What is that acronym?)
the one I know of is SOOC straight out of camera.
They keep it lit nicely.

This is a wonderful photo! And even more impressive that it hasn't been enhanced in any way. Well done!
