Calves by farmreporter

Calves

I really did try to get a picture of birds or something else - but - no luck so I fell back on my old stand-by of taking a picture of cows or calves.
These guys are getting to the age that they are super inquisitive of anything that walks into their field, much to the distress of their mothers. The hard part of taking their picture was getting far enough back to get them all in. Otherwise I would have had photos of their noses!
We have lots of coyotes around. We hear them howling every night and they are so close by. I worry about these guys ll the time.
But, they have very protective moms that would take a coyote in an instance. Smart animals to leave these guys alone, I guess!
Have a great Easter everyone!
I often think that it's good that I don't have cats, because they'd feature in my photos quite often! And then I think, it's too bad I don't have cats, because then I'd never be without a photo of the day!
I like this shot - you've really got their attention!

I think this is cool. Having a subject that you can go back to and still make a different POV everytime. I think that is great.

They are so adorable! Love how they are just looking right at you! What a gift to have them to photograph!

They are so cute! I once had a long wait for the ferry, so I stood outside a farmers fence with my camera, and four calves of a similar age, came to check me out. We had a nice chat, they let me take their photos and parted ways.
