Shadow is Growing UP

I am really pleased with Shadow. He is becoming a real good help on the farm. I don't have him herding yet, but he invariably will find and lead me to the cows when we do our daily check on them.
He also helps put lambs back into their pen if they escape out, and will herd the Llama into the field every morning.
He is just generally becoming a really useful companion.
Beautifull dog, nice shot! Ah, love Border Collies. My cousin had one he used for herding hogs, since they raised them on their Alberta, Canada farm. My cousin said he took the place of at least three men, maybe more. We had a Border Collie mix for years. Awesome dog, but the only thing he herded for our lives in the city was us...... his family. We didn't mind.

Hi, I like your blurb. I am a farm girl at heart in NZ and have some strong opinions too. There is so much room to make a better job of what we are doing with consideration to looking after our world in a sustainable way. Meanwhile, I have 20 acres which I graze replacement dairy calves from weaning to 9 months and manage an engineering business which I have achieved an Eco Warranty certification for. I look forward to seeing life on a Canadian farm through your camera.

What a beautifull dog. Are you going to take course for herding? I try with my english shepperd but I don't know the technique... But it's in her I think! She is good when I have to bring my chickens inside.
