We think that this apple tree, and the one hidden behind it, are well over 100 years old. They are the Transparent variety, and only bloom and fruit every second year.
This is the year we will hopefully to be blessed with lots of fruit.
It was such a nasty day today, with a biting west wind that I am actually surprised that any blossoms managed to cling to the tree. I actually rushed to take this picture because I half expected to lose a lot of the blossoms.
