2013 Maxville Spring Show

I had the honour of covering the 125th Anniversary of the Maxville Spring Show today.
And keeping with tradition, the Parade of Champions, which consists of the top two placing animals from every class, is piped in by a Glengarry piper. Although it makes for an impressive entry for the Parade, the cows are not impressed and refuse to follow the marching piper very closely. The Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion are then selected from this lineup.
This is the Senior two year old class where the handler has set up the cow and now is watching the judge for any further orders such as walk on.
These types of shows are so much fun! Wonderful photo of the young boy and his cow.
