I have neglected my garden dreadfully this year and the only flowers blooming are the really tough ones - tougher than the weeds!
This is Ligularia, a plant that cannot take the hot afternoon sun. Mine is on the east wall of our red shop - looks stunning there.
A lovely close-up of a real striking orange flower. Your garden sound a bit like mine! As long as it keeps coming back each year and can outgrow the weeds it is there. And usually if they can do that they look great.
Does it wilt in the sun I wonder...looks very healthy here Wendy & quite an autumn colour I think....perhaps it's more suited to cooler autumn weather.
