I have the ultimate pleasure of looking after the sweetest old Golden Retriever every year while farmer friends take a few days between Christmas and New Year's to go skiing and catch up on precious family time.
Tigger has a completely white face, walks at a very sedate pace, sometimes has his back legs give out, and takes more pills than most octogenarians.
But, he still takes great pleasure in his food, and bounds like a puppy (an old puppy) when he has his leash on.
Oh so nice to hear he is still enjoying life. We had a very old Lab 16 when she finally gave in. But there were times in her later life that she would get a glint in her eye and bound around full of the joys defying her years. So nice to see.
