The only green that can be found in Glengarry

John McLennan, Reeve of Charlottenburgh Township, built this majestic bank barn for his Ayrshire cows in 1951. The barn remained home for Ayrshire cows when another Ayrshire breeder farmed here for 37 years before selling to a cash cropper in 1998. The barn has a scenic location on the flats between the old King’s Highway, east of Martintown, and the Raisin River. .
Welcome back! Thanks for a "green" shot; it's looking very white out here again today.

You still have snow! Thought you had given up but it's great to see you back. That's an impressive barn complex.

@happypat Thanks for the welcome - life did get in the way for a bit but now hope to be back.
A cash cropper is a fellow who grows crops - mostly cereal crop but also field crops like canola, flax, and beans.

@barrowlane So nice to see you still posting! Yes - we have a ton of snow still. We had a fresh dusting of snow this morning, but it is now raining. Hopefully the snow will disappear soon!
