Turkey Vultures

I find that they are rather majestic birds in a homely type of way. They really are quite large, and have very strong talons and beaks.
But - so homely with their bald heads!

Great shot -- it's not often one gets to see them on the ground. I like watching them soar overhead. They seem so handsome, but only at a distance!
