American Goldfinch

These guys are really picky about what food they like ... while niger and other small seeds are their preferred food, they will eat black-oil sunflower seed when the feeders with the good stuff are empty.
This guy is still in his winter colours, but starting to get his flamboyant bright yellow coat.
Hi Wendy, as you know we are linked up for get-pushed-190. Its been interesting to see your pictures & how they reflect your life over time.

It looks from your album title that you prefer SOOC; that you love to incorporate the animals and wildlife that surrounds you; & that you are building a history through these fleeting moments.

So the challenge is to take a picture that represents more than a fleeting moment; to explore the sense of time & activity within it. Any subject of your choosing.

It could be long exposure; multiple exposures (according to google... for the d80 just go to the shooting menu system and put multiple exposure to on. The next two pictures you take will make one photo); or any other technique you like.

Let me know if you hate it & I will come up with something else.

Completely agree with your statement on your profile re a country not able to feed itself being destined to loose its sovereignty. If only the UK government would pay heed to that.

Oh, Liz! I love your challenge! How original and something I really would not have thought of.
I look forward to working on this one.
Thank you.

Glad you like it, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

You may not see any birds for a few days - it was dark when I came out of work tonight, so hoping for better luck tomorrow. Definitely should get a good chance on Friday and the weekend & am looking forward to it.
