Feeling Mellow Yellow

Forsythias are rather boring shrubs for most of the year but their burst of sunshine in the spring more than make up for their dull appearance the rest of the year.
This is a what I call memory bank shot, so I will be reminded of how glorious this shrub is in the spring.
Forsythias earn their keep by that brief period in the spring. The magnolia rivals them, in both brief beauty and drabness otherwise.

Ah so that it what they are called! Lol, I have seen these flowers around since January [very mild winter], glad to finally have a name for them!
