Every year our water troughs get invaded by huge 4 inch long water bugs. They are harmless enough, and quite shy for the size of them but look quite menacing hanging onto the edge of the trough glaring at you as you fill them up.
Oh my goodness, never seen anything like that before....4 inches long you say? That's quite a size.... It looks like it has a rusty body and rusty legs too, lol. So interesting to see this, great capture.

I am going to be bringing lambs to market on Monday, August 6th. I usually drip them off in Greeley around 9 and then I can have the whole day off to do as I please until I pick up the check at around 3:30 or 4.
Would you like to get together then sometime?
