Gingerbread House by farmreporter

Gingerbread House

Another shot for my get pushed challenge to do architecture issued by Ellie Burgin. @ellieburgin Seems like I have a fascination with roofs lately!
Get pushed is an awesome challenge that I highly recommend to everyone, no matter what your level or skill. It is the opportunity to pair with others who tend to follow you throughout your whole project even after the week is over that makes this challenge so positive.
Here is the link that will tell you all about it:

Vankleek Hill is known as the Gingerbread Capital of Ontario for the intricate adornments on their houses. I have always admired this one because they have taken it one step further and added colour to their house.
I have just discovered the joy of the spot healing brush in PS 14 - it erased the 6 hydro lines crossing this picture - and now I shall hopefully never have the sin of ugly lines in my photos!
Here's my last shot at architecture, Ellie! @ellieburgin
Thanks for the fantastic challenge. It was fun!

I like the light and shade, and the geometry that is created.

@sheilaj Thanks, Sheila - I did not notice the light and shade until you mentioned it but now I see it does give a neat effect!

We have a very similar old house in our town. It really stands out because it's quite unusual for the South. Now, I know what to call it. Because I've taken tons of pictures of it and will probably continue to take pictures of it. The roof and architectural details just fascinate me. http://365project.org/homeschoolmom/more-challenges/2016-02-01
