There is a lot of water in Glengarry at the moment! With 37 mm of rain on Tuesday, April 4, and another 44 mm of rain yesterday, Thursday, April 6 to add to the melting snow, there is a lot of flooding. That is over an inch each day for those of you on the other system!
There is usually only a narrow drainage ditch with a small culvert at the bottom of this hill, but now there is a lake on both sides of the road. While I cannot say for sure, I imagine that the road was flooded at the height of the storm.
The poles are actually straight but this is a panorama and the poles came out like that for some reason when I created the panorama.
Scary stuff for an area that does not usually deal with floods.
Oh this certainly shows the over abundance of water for you right now! We are always thankful for the rain but do get nervous when it just keeps on raining. Hopeful if you were in a drought that all your rain ended the dry weather.
We are officially in state of drought. Think no carwashing beyond garage facilites, no power hoses etc on terraces, balconies et alia. Bottom line...very grubby/dirty vehicles and Winter grot on paths etc. :-((
interesting. although i can believe about the road getting flooded. we once drove to montreal and water was pouring in from both sides of the road we thought it rather odd. the poor fields were really soaked! nice leading line
No - the poles are actually straight but this is a panorama and the poles came out like that for some reason when I created the panorama.
