April @aecasey challenged me to do an in-camera double exposure. She even gave me a link to a super tutorial on how to do it. And, I did learn the mechanics on how to do it. Now to just figure out technique so that it looks good as well!
I must admit that I am embarrassed to submit these photos for the whole 365 community to see, but then, I am sure that we all take baby steps and fall before we learn to run. This is a fall!
On the plus side, now that I know the mechanics and I can see what I want to achieve in my mind’s eye, (and I attempted multiple times today)I will continue to try this and may even post a shot that is not totally embarrassing!
This was taken at the Williamstown Fair today.
April @aecasey - this was the closest concept from my mind's eye that I was able to acheive in camera. The boy and the Llama are facing each other and a nice distance apart - which I planned and executed. However - it is the distractions around them that really needs to be avoided.
Embarrassed? No....this is really interesting. The llama came through beautifully, and the hint of the boy against the very grounded and active background makes it a bit haunting. I think it tells a captivating story.
It makes for an interesting image Wendy. And you tried something different so there's nothing to be embarrassed about at all. Yeah, we all make mistakes but that's half the fun (and frustration) of photography 😉😉
Hi, Wendy, we're Get Pushed partners this upcoming week. How about for this challenge you mix Abstract August and Black and White August and do a black and white abstract. Hope that works for you! Have fun!
@homeschoolmom
This is a great challenge, Lisa. Will definitely give it s go.
And, it made me think of the challenge for you.
How about doing the remaining August Alphabet words (for this week only) starting with 'O' and posting your favourite photo as your challenge. Or you can use each one if you wish.
Thank you all for your encouragement. I Will definitely be giving it a try again.
