Still catching up on the 52 week challenge. This is for week 22 - Creative: Door. A symbol of transition, a door or a gate provide a passage way.
Not totally happy with this so may re-visit this week's challenge later.
St. Raphael's church was built in 1821 and burned down in 1970 with only the majestic stone walls remaining.
This passage way through the thick stone walls was once the lower back door to the church behind the sanctuary. I imagine it was the quiet way in for the clergy when there was events happening at the church.
