Hoping to grab a full moon shot before it set but the light cloud cover prevented that.
So I turned my attention to the rising sun and how it slowly brought the landscape to life.
Then I had to get back on my bus to pick up the kids!

So good that the colours are accurate - just wish I could get more details in the trees without making the rest of the scene over-exposed!

That icy water is from the snow melt we had and then it turned cold again - skating rinks in the middle of fields everywhere! lol!
(then we got more snow to go on top of them!)
@farmreporter Do you have a program that lets you adjust the shadows. If you could you might be able to adjust it that way. If You have PS make a duplicate layer of the picture and try adding a blending mode to the top copy. If you add a mask you can even mask away where any parts that are too much.

Thank you for the tip, Joan. I am just beginning to get my feet wet with PS - so much to learn with it.
Will give your idea a try though.
