I do not do sunrise / sets often. I find that the camera can seldom catch the majesty of the actual event.
But - sometimes you just have to make the attempt at recording the glorious hues and colours witnessed.
The processing of these photos can be a very personal choice by over saturation to make the event a blazing statement or with subtle and subdued tones to emphasize the peacefulness felt at this time. I love the diversity that the 365 community has with photographic choice.
I have to agree you just don't capture that wonderful moment of serenity quite rights and I have taken several. But to the uninitiated they love them. Fab
I have gone both ways with the saturation. Now I try to go for how I saw it.
@farmreporter I did a tutorial for scrapbooking on how to turn a regular scene into a night or sunrise/sunset scene and am in the process of adding to it by how you add a moon or rainbow.

Yes I agree with all you have said - this is basically SOOC - just a bit of cropping and increasing the shadows to add details to the farm.
This shot is the way it looked! This is basically SOOC - just a bit of cropping and decreasing the shadows to add details to the farm.
