Sandra @sandradavies challenged me to do a deep, dark night-time shot of our driveshed. These stairs were actually shot after the sun went down in the dark, I needed to brighten the shot to show some detail.
You see, it is really dark back there with no light to cast shadows. So, the light you see here is the remaining light in the sky from when the sun went down.

Thank you for your input. I do appreciate other's opinion.
Would you make it darker or slightly lighter? How could I make the top of the stairs lighter without making the bottom any lighter? I have been doing the Photoshop PH Learn tutorials with Aaron Nace but have not dove into actually using Photoshop. Time to put knowledge into practice I guess!
Nice on the black background. Looks like a full moon shining in. If you have options to increase or decrease shadows and highlights (I can do this in Lightroom) you could see how they might effect the result.
After seeing the original, I would go lightly on any tweaking of this. Had I not see this one, it might not have made a difference. The mood and lighting are fabulous. Something that you couldn't do in the daytime.
@byrdlip
Well, thank you very much for your comment!
I was wondering how I could tweak this to make it better, and decided that it was going to have to stay the same.
So good to get confirmation on my decision!
