Sally Ings @salza challenged me to do B&W photography, and I must admit that it is not that easy to concentrate on the subject minus colour. B&W forces you to get the composition and lighting perfect - and I notice in this shot that the window behind hubby is distracting.
I did enjoy the challenge of getting back to basics.

I like the serious expression and they way you have composed the shot by not taking it just straight on. You could try either getting closer or cropping out the distraction in the background that would really focus us on the expression in the eyes.
