Went out with the girls on Friday. But being that I have a few health concerns going on, my doctor has ordered me not to drink or smoke or do anything fun with my body basically, with the exception of sex and exercise. Thank gawd for small favors, eh? It would reallyreallyreallyreally SUCK if those were off the table.
Wore the shoes pictured here for GNO. Had good food. Great convo. Watched my friends drink instead...ended up getting cupcakes close to midnight at Billy's Bakery...talking about the legalization of MJ...planning our next girls' night out.
I fucking love those girls. Was a nice way to end the shit-tastic work week I had. Here's hoping this week will be better!
I had a fun time with girls this weekend, too. I didn't wear shoes like this, though. I was dressed like Alice in Wonderland and we had a tea party. Yeah, goody two shoes...I so get this. Love the song. Love the tones and shadows and floor textures. Glad that you can still do some fun stuff, too:).
Lovely light in this capture, really like the scuff marks on the honey colored wooden floor. My doctor gave me the same sort of advice about 10 years ago, now hardly drink, never smoke. Not much of that other stuff either :-)
@amandal@tonydebont thanks, guys! This was pretty much straight out of the camera. I just turned it to sepia in iPhoto. I don't drink las much as I used to, but I do like to enjoy a drink with certain meals. It's easier to curb that craving. It's the smoking thing that is still hard. Although I haven't been a habitual smoker for years now, ohhh boy do I still get the temptation! I don't know if that will ever truly disappear. Sometimes I still want that inhale after a good meal, after a sip of coffee, after...err other enjoyable things, to be a deep breath of nicotine. But then I realize how gross it actually is and then sometimes it squashed the craving. Also, yes, am glad that I can at least partake in other fun stuff...or else I'd be one pretty friggin grumpy Ms. T!
I love the light in this capture, perfect for those well trodden floor boards! Adam Ant was the first concert I ever went to that I paid for myself, way back when I was in high school. The concert hall was a dive(It's since been pulled down). Adam was alright, but I loved his support band, which was a local band I followed intently until they imploded a few years later! Know what you mean about the ciggies, too ;)
@tomtom thanks, Andrew. I still remember this video on MTV when I was a kid. I was not even a preteen yet but my older sister was in her teens in the 80s so I ended up listening to all the 80s stuff she enjoyed. I remember not knowing what the hell subtle innuendoes were. lol.
