Icy skies by fbailey

Icy skies

I'd seen a fabulous picture on this site called
Frozen Bubbles, just magical. I wracked my brains on how I could do something similar and just when I thought I was on the right track, I couldn't find any tracings of frost. So I broke the ice in the bird bath, took a picture of the sky through it and then combined two images to produce the above. Not the result I had originally set out to achieve, but thanks to 365 feel I could be heading in the right direction!
Very nice...love that dog too...i really nee to learn to do this sort of stuff

I'm not quite understanding the picture of the sky, but it's a very pretty composition. It looks like snow in the background to me.

@brennieb Thank you! This was made with an early version (eBay) of Photoshop Elements (7) and a play around using layers.

@skstein Thanks Sandy. It was made up of two layers in Photoshop, a picture of ice superimposed over the original shot and then partially removed to reveal the dog.

@jorlam Thanks very much for commenting. I enjoy photo manipulation as much as photography but wasn't sure if it 'counted' here. This dog is a little star, glad you liked her.

So neat to see you experimenting so much - I haven't got to this stage yet!
