Under the Arches

This picture was taken from inside one of the many arches of Coronation Parade at Sunny Sands beach, Folkestone. The structure was built in the 1930s as a promenade with retaining wall to the rear and protects both the cliff from eroding and a significant number of homes and businesses.

The arches are currently undergoing extensive renovation work as part of the Folkestone regeneration project.
