Bare branches by fbailey

Bare branches

The photo was taken a few days back, but I downloaded the NIK plugins this evening - a filler I'm afraid. I should have gone to bed a couple of hours ago but this has been such fun!
Beautiful twisted branches. Great processing!

An interesting and beautiful image :)

I might be overstepping the mark, as a fairly new amateur photographer myself, but I feel I'm seeing a dramatic advance in your photography FBailey. I love this so fav. How great is the Nik collection?

@kwind @dawnee @tibles @kr57 Thanks very much for commenting, I fell in love with this tree. It could almost be part of a horror movie!

@megpicatilly Thanks Catherine, glad you use them too. Have only dabbled a little but feel I may be dabbling much more in future. Love playing about in Elements:)

@redandwhite Thanks Catherine, they're almost creepy looking with this filter!

@dkbarnett @hermann Thanks very much to you both:)

@cmsch52 I've noticed it too Carol. I can only put it down to my trawling this site a lot and seeing pics of a very high standard indeed. Perhaps subconsciously it makes you up your game. I do take a huge amount t of pictures most days, over 100 sometimes, and because I'm still scared of my camera manual, most are using Auto mode. (Embarrassment!). Thanks v much for the fav, and yes, these filters are going to be used a lot! Thanks much for commenting, Felicity

Your processing is so expressive on this bare tree as subject.
April 18th, 2017
@fbailey They have lots to offer - I didn't realise at first, that each one has at least four different versions if you click on the little square on the right!

When viewed in black it looks like a stage set for Macbeth or something. Kind of expecting the three witches. Good picture 🙂
April 18th, 2017
Nice toning. Suits that splendid tree.

Wow, Felicity, wish I had time for 100 pics a day. Bring on retirement! That's why most of my pics are from the previous weekend. I agree about getting inspiration from this site, I love it.

A beautiful composed and processed capture .

@johnsutton @royrj Thank you, am really pleased you liked it. Think it must have been struck by lightning as there's no sign of life but nonetheless it makes a statement!

@cmsch52 Retirement is strongly recommended! Can't understand people getting bored with it.
