No need to comment, but Peter (@peadar) asked to see yesterday's image but without processing. Well Peter, here it is, the jpeg file undoctored!
I tend to shoot in both RAW and jpeg these days and use Nik filters both Colour Efex and Silver Efex to enhance the originals. Guess my cover is now well and truly blown!!
Felicity, thank you. I know it's all personal taste, but I actually like this better, or maybe even this in straight black and white. Anyway, I was very interested to see what effect the Nik filters had. Thanks, again, Peter.
@peadar You're most welcome Peter. I am surprised at your preference but also reassured that maybe it wasn't such a bad photo to start with ... appreciate your thoughts as always. Felicity
@suzanne234 Thanks very much for commenting Suzanne. I veer quite a lot to b&w these days and the free Nik filter download was serious good news for me!
I think you had a great photo to start with but I do like the b&w version, mainly for the great sky. Wish I could process my images to have such great skies.
The composition is good but the light flat, resulting in lack of contrast and a boring sky. that was all rectified beautifully in the conversion..
so, i prefer the mono version, for the reason stated.. 😊
@littleconnie Thanks Connie, appreciate your thoughts. I just use an old version of Elements and the free Nik filters. The clarity slider is amazing, brings out all the definition in things like clouds, brickwork etc. Thanks again for your input.
@fbailey i think in many instances mono can be much more expressive - especially with textures and contrasts.. i look forward to seeing more of your work in mono..
@suesouthwood Thanks Sue, am surprised at the reaction here:)

@yrhenwr Thanks for commenting, you do make me smile!
@jessikapanteleios @777margo Thanks very much for commenting:)
