No need to comment, guess I must have exhausted this subject by now:)
No photo for today, weather grey and miserable, and I'm not imaginative enough to use anything in the home. So this is yet another sunflower picture taken on the following day to the others put up here. I wanted to try and get a close up of their 'faces' so here it is. I am convinced they have grown quite a bit in the space of 24 hours!
@phil_sandford Oh thanks Phil. The farm is called Malmains Farm and the address is Kennel Hill, Eythorne. I drive from Dover to Sandwich quite a bit and just after the Eythorne turnoff is this bright yellow field next to the dual carriageway. If you go into Eythorne from the main road and park on the opp side of the sunflower field you can see the swathe of poppies too.
i think this is my favourite of the 3.. Why? In the previous 2 images the horizon was very much in view, defining the depth of the field of flowers. in this image there is nothing to define edges, of anything, therefore the field appears to be endless.. we all know that Sunflowers can grow to great heights so looking slightly upward, as here, feels natural.. the backlit petals are gorgeous
@stefneyhart Thank you very much! I was struggling to get the camera through the strands of barbed wire so I could avoid the weeds being in the picture:)
