After the last couple of attempts at a sunrise to find the sea shrouded in fog, I had intended to stay in bed. However, as usual that intention went out of the window when I looked out of the window and saw no mist.
I did doubt my sanity climbing over the White Cliffs at a seriously silly hour with no-one else around except for quite a few rabbits.

Nice colour in the sky. I keep waking up, checking the sky from my bathroom window (it faces the sunrise) only to find grey skies and thick cloud. Think I got lucky the other morning. Sounds like you need to a lie in :-)
Absolutely beautiful! You've done half of what I gave passing thought to - take the sunrise and, here is your challenge, take the sunset as well and bookend the longest day of the year.
