I was given a packet of teasel seeds for the garden to help feed the birds. This year they are trying to take over - some of them have to be at least 8 ft high and still growing.
I played with a Helios lens and this is the result of one of the not so tall teasels.
@jgpittenger Robins, starlings, wagtails, sparrows and finches eat the dried seed heads Jane. I knew chaffinches and gold finches did, but I'm not as knowledgeable as I sound, I asked Google!
You've done so well with your seeds, I'm still waiting to see my teasels! They make a great subject for photos as well as being fab for the birds, this is a great shot and looks good in b&w
