@brennieb Thanks Brennie, am such a wimp at this sort of thing so skulking in the shadows seemed 'do-able' ...

@fbailey
i getting a bit better at this.. but always take them guiltily..,in case somebody comes up and challenges me,

@brennieb Someone on here gave me the idea of photo'ing something specific and if someone on walked in front of the camera they thought they were imposing on you rather than the other way round. Great idea!

I think we all feel a bit guilty when doing this sort of thing! Always think it's crossing an indrawn line! Nice b& w though!

@carole_sandford Thanks very much, glad I'm not alone:)

You did well and you're definitely not alone, I love the idea of street photography, but rarely summon up the courage to try it :)

I love the idea of street photography and do admire those who are brave enough to do it. Great as a b&w image.
July 15th, 2017
Hey! You've found somewhere! I like the framing - the 'inside looking out' view.. and the references to frames elsewhere in the image. Oh and the fact that you have chosen b&w
July 15th, 2017
@littleconnie Thank you!
July 15th, 2017
@yrhenwr Yes, I had to drive 15 miles, but I did find somewhere! Thanks very much for your comments. This one I found quite difficult as the framed area was fine but the sunlit portion was over exposed. I played about with burning and darkening the middle but. Did contemplate doing two separate pictures and merging but that seemed rather like hard work ...
July 15th, 2017
@fbailey But you did it without the hard work and made an image with integrity.
July 15th, 2017
@yrhenwr Sincere thanks, that means a lot. I have a very long way to go to get to your standard.

This is such a good street scene.. love how you have controlled the difficult lighting in and out of the shade.. it looks to be a typical market day, with folk eager to spend their pennies.. great reflections in the glass covering the noticeboard and the window glass too..
if this was mine i would feel extremely pleased..

@jorlam You are so kind, thank you sincerely. You are also very observant - I was there but hadn't picked up in the reflections in the glass - guess I was so pleased to find people who didn't seem to notice me snapping away:)
