Couldn't make sandpies on Brighton beach so made a smiley face instead. The sea was amazingly flat and calm until Cathy managed to kick her shoe off into it!! George rescued it then I had to trog back to the car for a change of footwear... when I got back a big smile seemed to redress the moment!
