Y is for Yellow, Yippee, Yahoo and lots of other happy sunny feelings. It's for YoYo and Yodel which I could never master, Yokel, Yankee and Yes!! It's also of course for Why which I get a lot of most days....!
This particular Y is actually from an Enigma machine at Bletchley, where we went today to investigate the codebreakers. (Bletchley was a secret base during WWII where they found a way to decode German messages and painstakingly bring an earlier end to the war). Not the best shot - the machines are all in glass cases since someone stole one of them a few years ago. (Handy thing to have at home). So much history and intrigue there... made me wonder how many fingers had hit this keY to decipher or send a message...
