Batman, Bedford and Airships

I know what you're thinking... let me explain.

Bedfordshire is hardly flat but there are few hills near me and a view is hard to come by. Saw this view by a winding road downhill overlooking Cardington and Bedford this morning and thought I'd share it as it looked almost pretty. (possibly because most of Bedford is hidden).

On the left-hand-side are the Cardington hangars, where they built the huge, ill-fated R101 airship amongst others. One is used now to house small blimps, and the other hangar (vast) has been used for filming eg the recent Batman films, and Take That perfected their stageshow there before their tour. Today the view is brightened by the distraction of the rapeseed crops and the pretty blue sky.

So kind of you to view/comment on my many forget-me-nots - hope you had a good day and didn't forget your cameras! Happy Sunday!
Great view! I see all sort of catching colours, and the clouds are unbelievable

I love all the bright colours in this shot. We have similar in our area. The Somerset levels are obviously very, very flat and oil seed rape is everywhere! xx
