English Cottage Garden

Isn't this pretty - I passed this and lots of chocolate-box cottages today...I could have filled a month with shots of them but chose this one... the kitty-cat in the front garden had just yawned, stretched and walked away....
PS - spot the thatched peacock? :)

Thank you so much for stopping to see my stopped timer yesterday...I didn't get to slump in the hammock but spent a lovely long time catching up with most of your shots which was super instead! The timer was indeed bright yellow, brightened by the sun and the booster button on picasa, but it wasn't nuclear..!

A beautiful shot of a beautiful house but I'm not sure I'd like the cost of maintaining a thatched roof xx

This looks like a picture you would see in a nursery book! Great shot, Phil! Love it! Well done.

So cute and homey. The perfect picture of English countryside. Glad you pointed out the peacock. I would have missed that bit of whimsy. Too bad you did miss the cat. Every cottage yard needs a cat.

Magical and dreamy, Phil, just got to fav it! Yes, after searching for a bit, is it perched on the roof?

Beautiful garden, but it is the thatched roof that caught my eye. Beautiful workmanship and I did see the peacock. The overall composition is beautiful!
