This little chap was not at all happy. On one leg, all fluffed up and cold. Wish I had some crumbs for him. I asked George to wait for Cathy outside the shop, by the 'grumpy pigeon' but George was in a grumpy mood and even the pigeon moved away!!
(Today was a free choice on the December holiday challenge, I chose to depict 'cold' because it was - despite the welcome sunshine)
The north wind doth blow, And we shall have snow,
And what will poor pigeon do then, Poor thing?
He'll sit in a barn, And keep himself warm,
And hide his head under his wing, Poor thing.
(With apologies to the robin).
Thank you thank you all you wonderful folk who are so kind to view / comment on my funny little tree/funny little daughter shots this weekend! We loved reading all your comments and my neighbour who knitted the tree was amazed to find her work on the www being viewed around the world!
Have a fabulous week :)
Oh, poor little fella!! I'd have adopted him! This is a great shot of a sorry looking critter. Nice shot, Phil! Well done. (Sorry for the late comment... I've been off 365 for a bit!!)
Through every nook and every cranny
The wind blew in on poor old Granny
Around her knees, into each ear
(And up nose as well, I fear)
All through the night the wind grew worse
It nearly made the vicar curse
The top had fallen off the steeple
Just missing him (and other people)
It blew on man, it blew on beast
It blew on nun, it blew on priest
It blew the wig off Auntie Fanny-
But most of all, it blew on Granny!
