These geese seemed to have got the idea on how to cross the road on a drizzly murky day. But no, moments later they were pacing around and drinking out of the gutter... euch!!
Not very friendly or clean either but it was very wet and muddy today so I can't be too surprised at their mood...!
(The road does indeed slope down to the river, btw!)
Gosh thank you for your kind comments on my fading shot yesterday - after a deep sleep it was such a tonic to wake up and find them in my inbox! (Ditto coming home to some more after a mix-up on the school run had me in the car for nearly 3 hours.... honestly...) Early mornings the ducks in Chesham use the zebra crossing to waddle across the ring road from the park into the High St. .... Makes me smile whenever I see it!
Why are they standing in the gutter Maybe trying out the why did the chicken cross the road joke but then maybe not............I think I'm tired and have had a good glug of red wine!!
