If you're not in the UK you might not get this. To be honest, if you Are in the UK you might not get this. It's a bakewell tart (or bakewell pudding if you're from Bakewell), with eyes and a bit of sparkle thanks to Ribbet.
It's in honour of Red Nose Day, when we are encouraged to do something funny for money. This year it has already raised over £57,000,000 for numerous causes, the most heart-rending one (for me) simple vaccinations to save children in Africa dying of malaria, tetanus, diptheria etc. Our children get them without question - in Africa they die without them yet they only cost £5.
I just bought some cakes and bits and sent a couple of fundraising texts. To those who did more I salute you. To those who don't know what I'm talking about I beg your indulgence. I'll post something more radical tomorrow.... I hope!
Humoungous thanks for your lovely comments on my frosty tulips yesterday. Roll on the weekend and all it brings.
Always a lot of good comedy coming out of Red Nose Day (that and the Secret Policeman's Ball) This is a great creation and a great shot (I like the "zooming" effect.

Hi Ladies! Thanks for your comments. Bakewell tarts/puddings originate from a little town called Bakewell, which is in Derbyshire. A Cherry Bakewell like this is traditionally a pastry tart, filled with sponge with ground almond (frangipane) and raspberry jam, topped with thick white fondant icing and half a glace cherry. We love 'em! I bought some to take into school as it was Friday and the supermarket were donating a few pence to Comic Relief with every pack sold. Now that's my kind of fundraising!!
Hope you're having a good week. Thanks for calling by :)
