Somehow managed to find an old favourite spot along the many shores of mighty Loch Lomond. (The biggest inland water in Britain by surface area). The light started to fade as we left after a minor panic* and I looked back to see it lighting up the mountains on the distant shore. It was wonderful, and I'm glad it came out so this is sooc. (I think it looks nice against the black...)
We did so many miles and saw so many beautiful sights during our week away, it's hard to choose which to include here, so I'll just stab with my favourites.
Woke up too early but coming down to see you'd called by / left comments on my thistle pic was a real tonic! You're smashing, thank you :)
* George had placed all his precious possessions in his backpack, rather than leave them in the car. He then put his backpack down while looking for stones to skim... and wandered further and further along the shore. He realised too late - a group of jet-skiing teenagers had taken it! Luckily they returned when they realised 'their error' though we were glad to have the ranger there as moral support. No harm done, one big lesson learned..!
Wonderful image! Love the light! I had a holiday staying in a house on the banks of the Loch and we travelled all over! What beautiful scenery! I would like to go back!
Wow! What a lovely shot, Phil! It's so scenic and love the light rays shining on the mountains in the distance. It's perfect. Well done! :) (Hope you liked the few I've done... I'm trying to get back something that was ripped out of me a few weeks ago) .... Really great shot. Fav!
