A Big Window by filsie65

A Big Window

...the problem with doing three words in one is that it leaves a gap. I'd better fill it, but forgive me filling it with a huge gap! I swapped the word 'window' and remembered taking a shot of a huge window on our way back from Scotland, at Fountains Abbey. It must have been a helluva big window in its day - spot the person walking past...!
So touched with everyone who takes the time to call by to view or comment on my shots - I really appreciate it. Have a great week
(PS - by the way, it isn't squiffy, they just didn't build very straight in those days).
I wouldn't have wanted to be the person in charge of making that window shine. Good job getting the person to show the enormity behind!

It's remarkable how they built these huge stone arches and walls. Have you read Pillars of the Earth? Or World Without End? Historical fiction about architecture. Very good ! Super shot !

Wow. That is big. I life the person in the corner to give a sense of scale.

Wow! Great photo! Can't help but try to imagine myself there at the time when the window was brand new. What was going on? What were people talking about?

Wow! What a shot, Phil! Was this where the giant lived that Jack went and robbed the harp from?? It's massive! What a find! Love the stone facade and the framing and it even has a sort of arch! Well done! :)
