Martine (3sixty5) and I were paired up for the get-pushed challenge... we agreed to do the same thing, light trails or light painting. I ventured out alone for this, parked with hazard light on, in the middle of a bridge overlooking the A1 near Tempsford (70mph) and was pleased to get these trails despite the overhead street lights. Great fun, bit scary and - bless - a lady stopped to check I was ok.
It had taken me a little while to get the settings right on the dslr, a longer exposure and a darker setting so it wasn't burned out. The attempts on Saturday didn't work at all - the camera just wouldn't focus. I think it needed something to actually focus on but couldn't sort it in a lay-by in the dark without me specs on! Thank goodness it didn't happen on the bridge..
Thank you for calling by - you're too kind! Have a great week
Greal light trails. Looking fwd to being your get-pushed partner. I am happy to try anything but because of having two young children to look after I can't be out in the evening so night photography is not currently possible, otherwise happy to try any other challenge! I looked through your pictures and they are amazing so I thought maybe a technical challenge, how about zooming the exposure - here is a link to the article, meant to try it myself.
