F is for Fungus

Ok it's a Lichen but according to Wiki, it's a fungus and a photosynthetic partner growing together in a symbiotic relationship, and one of those words starts with F so that's ok. It was on a stick wot the children and I found on a 'nature walk' and needed the magnifying glass back in the classroom to see it clearly. It was very pretty in green, too. (Note to self to upload in colour again soon... thank goodness the end of the month is in sight!)
Thank you for calling by and thank you for just being there :)

Nice shot, Phil! Was it moss? The black and white really brings out the texture. Good job :)

Great focus and lighting, feel I'm in your class looking through that magnifying glass.
