George says this is out of focus and I am doubting the specs but I still rather like it. It was a macro shot of the frosty grass just as the sun was thawing it, cropped down. If you agree it's out of focus I will process some softness/glow into it then we can all be happy!
Have a good Wednesday you wonderful folk and thanks for calling by
Nice. I think that the focus is on the second drop up in the middle (about a quarter to a third of the way up) so that is a very savage depth of field you have there. Pop some glow on to make sure!
I think it's fine as it is. The problem is, as often happens with macro shots, you have a very small depth of focus. Whilst one small area is sharp, the rest of the image isn't, creating the impression to the untrained eye that the whole shot may not be in focus. But like Paul says, the second drop up in the middle is pin sharp!
Great shot, Phil! I don't think it's out of focus at all. The dew drops have some perfect reflection and clarity. It also have great texture as well as some bokeh. In other words, DON'T CHANGE IT! Well done :)
