Blakeney Marshes by filsie65

Blakeney Marshes

Oops a gap - room to fit in a little more seaside. We walked for miles along the path from Blakeney Harbour at Blakeney, through Blakeney Marshes hoping to reach Blakeney Point and the seal colony. Seems if you want to get to Blakeney Point you should walk from the nearby village of Cley. Obvious really. Walked back and got the boat. It was pretty, though, lots of wild birds and fresh air. The tidal river silted up in olden days and only light, small boats can get through now. The tankers go elsewhere :)
Had a wonderful time in NW Norfolk, such a pretty area, sharing it with you has been a delight, thank you for your feedback, mwah.
We were hoping to get up there this weekend but in the end it seemed a bit mean leaving the revising offspring - may be May Bank holiday - they'll be too stressed by the looming exams to worry by then!
