This is from the day I tried panning with flying birds - thought this one was funny... it sort of reminded me of the cartoons when the birds stop, frozen in thought, and drop vertically! Just a bit of daftness :)
Gosh you're sweet calling in to look, thank you
Wonderful! Panning is such a useful technique and awkward to do but rewarding when it works. This is one of a series of shots that I did as a favour for a friend of mine as she was blatting around Brands Hatch on her Ducati (she's a seriously fast lady!) http://snapchap.weebly.com/uploads/3/4/2/9/3429912/2561311_orig.jpg
Penelope Pitstop would be so proud but Mutley would be so cross that the pigeon is getting away, great movement shot @steampowered That is one seriously great shot
@claireuk Thanks Claire - that's a coincidence - the young, fast lady in the picture is a Clare too (there's no 'i' in it, as she ferociously points out to me on a regular basis!)
Nice catch, Phil! Shooting birds is not an easy task, especially if they like to fly a lot! You did this one great. Love the way his wings are angled. Well done :)
Love it! I was a die-hard Perils of Penelope Pittstop fan when I was a kid, and this did make me think of that before I saw your caption. :-) I'm a long way from mastering panning, but I guess I'll keep trying!
