Regardez a gauche, regardez a droite, regardez a gauche, regardez a droite...... 11.4.12

It was a long hot walk from the Eiffel Tower to the Arc de Triomphe ... we sat for a while on a bench watching the crazy traffic circumnavigate the Etoile at the Place Charles de Gaulle and noticed this pigeon looking for a safe time to cross...! Clearly French pigeons have little less sense than English ones...!! :)
I had heard it said that if you can drive around the Arc de Triomphe you can drive anywhere. Well after seeing them do it I have no great urge to find a time to try it. At least once we had taken in this great monument and the bonkers traffic, we could wander down the Champs Elysees and find some lunch.... tres bon!

Great shot of the pigeon! I think all pigeons are like that. They have no fear of humans or machinery. They love french fries, in case you didn't know.

Fun shot. I can attest to the fact that traffic around the Arc is a nightmare... been there, done that ;-) Did a few laps around the Arc in my car many, many years ago!

you're right it's what we say "if you can drive there, you can drive every where". In in case of accident, both cars are always guilty!
