Mr Heron (Pondweed is the in-thing to wear dahlink) 20.3.13

I've wanted a shot of one of these for ages... yesterday the kids in the playground spotted it perched up on the neighbouring house's roof so I raced to get my camera! One mega-zoom later, no time to focus properly but it's clearly a heron! They then all jumped up and down shouting to scare it away from whatever it had its beady eye on and I got a couple of very odd shots of it in flight!
Couldn't decide whether to post this or Mr Spidey for the ONS4 challenge, then remembered my 2nd album...!

I'm so glad you chose this one to post, its unusual, herons are usually put in their water settings. I adore they grey tones of feathers and tiles!
