The almost-full moon looked gorgeous floating in a deepening blue twilight... I took a few shots and was surprised to see this plane when I downloaded them! Thought I'd save it for the novelty seeing as I missed the honey-moon behind the clouds last night.
When I zoomed in up close, and got all the lovely shadows on the surface (like http://365project.org/filsie65/365/2014-05-14 but without the stars and reflection!), I lost all the colour in the sky - and this one I get the colour but even spot-darkening in post-processing doesn't bring out the surface. Any clues on how to do it?
Great shot, Phil. I love the plane that looks like it's on its way to the moon! Try this tip: Turn your flash on. I used to have to do that when I used my Kodak EasyShare. Check to see if your camera has an "AV" setting. That's what I use to get my moon shots. But this is great. Fav.
