I'm back in Lancaster now, and these rather unusual travelling companions came with me! Mum (Katharine) has been hard a work with the knitting needles making these hand puppets for a Lancaster-based charity called Stepping Stones Nigeria. They work in one of the most dangerous areas, helping particularly to end the persecution of children who are accused of being child witches. They also have education programmes, and these snakes will go out to Nigeria to help the schools there teach phonics. They're one of the largest charities based outside of London, so please check out their website and see all the good work they're doing! - Lucy
