Whilst clearing an overgrown part of my back garden I came across these lovely flowers. I have no idea what they are, but they do brighten up the garden and remind me that it is indeed spring. I also decided to experiment with focus again to see if I could get a better result than the last time. Any feedback on this attempt would be gratefully received!

Oh another LWF classification-two in a row brilliant. Re the shot is the camera on an auto or manual setting. If it is auto then switch to manual and you will be able to control the camera more. Having said that why not just sit back and think that was a great shot!!!!
@padlock It's on manual, but then I adjusted the focus in Picasa to see what kind of effect I could get! I will however take your advice and sit back and think it is a great shot!!! - Louise
Wild Hyacinthus I suppose . You can be sure by the smell of them.
A lovely capture of this wonderful flower.

@gillg Thank you. I was also surprised to find thse in my garden. I only moved in last year so still finding out what flowers are there! Sadly I move again this week so I won't be able to enjoy them for that much longer - Louise
@malc Thank you for identifying them, and definately a case of great minds! Amazing how the same flower can look so different depending on who has taken the photo! - Louise
Hello Fisher Family - lovely shot, well done x I too use Picasa, I love it! I think your mystery flower is either a white hyacinth or if it has fine yellow stamens inside the petals it will be a white bluebell. I'm following you now x
@lyndag thank you for your comment. Having googled it and given the pink flower seen in the background along with a blueish purple flower look the same shape etc I think its a hyacinth - Louise
