Queen Elizabeth by fishers

Queen Elizabeth

The roses are just beginning to bloom in the garden and the pink Queen Elizabeth's are among the first. Ian's dad grew them for us from cuttings and planted them when we first moved into this house early in our marriage. Sadly Ian's dad is no longer with us but the roses bring him vividly to mind.

@dolphin Thank you. There are only a few roses out at the moment but plenty of buds. If they survive the gale force winds there will be a good display. Katharine
