Well, I made it to Paris! We moved into our apartment and everything on Tuesday, and started work then too. Things have been rather busy, so I've barely taken any photos yet. I hope to go sightseeing this weekend.
So for today, we have the front of the Palais des Glaces theatre, which is in the 10th arrondissement. I got ridiculously lost on the way home from work today, and ended up walking past this rather magnificent building. It's been a theatre since 1876, but was completely rebuilt in 1924 and renamed 'Palais des Glaces' (the Mirrored Palace) because of all the mirrors on the front of the building.
As for the elephants, I've no idea why they are there!
Thanks for all your well wishes, I'll try to catch up with everything soon! - Lucy
So glad you arrived safe and sound. getting lost can happen in a new town in a new country. I can attest to that. it's an interesting building and great historyl
